» The Country Club, at Castle Pines
• Within the first week I began to notice a dramatic increase in water infiltration. This was observed while hand watering localized dry spots on tees. Prior to the ozone unit, when water was applied to these localized dry spots it would puddle and just sit there. Now, with ozone, it puddles and then dives down into the soil right before your eyes.

• I also began to notice a gradual softening of our soil. .

• With ozone in place, four to six weeks out I started seeing the top one inch of soil beginning to soften up.

• In years past we would go through nearly $6,000 in surfactants for the tees alone and they would still be filled with localized dry spots. This year localized dry spots on the tees were almost nonexistent with no surfactants.

• The elimination of these applications saved The Country Club nearly $5,500. The second area that we were able to save a significant amount of money was in the total reduction of water used for the year. We were able to reduce the amount of water used by nearly 10%, or just over eight million gallons, or $7,000.

• Another area in which I believe we saved money this year would be in the reduction of labor hours used to hand water.

• Blackhawk Golf Club was recently named "Western Canada’s Best New Golf Course" by the highly recognized magazine Golf Digest™. One tool that Blackhawk used its past two seasons to help its quality of turf was Seair Diffusion Systems Inc’s patented diffusion system. We used their system to control the pH in our irrigation water and increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in our water being applied to our turf.

• This past summer, we proved that Seair’s technology of treating water that is diffused by ozone, oxygen and carbon dioxide would also help in the elimination of algae growing on the surface of the turf.

• In conclusion, we are very happy with the results we’ve noticed since the installation of Seair’s system. Our long term benefits from this system will only help Blackhawk remain in the upper echelon in the golf course industry in Canada. It is another useful tool many golf courses can access to improve their turf quality.

• The grow-in of our new six-acre practice area was a dream with the addition of extra oxygen for a new root system. We saw G-1 bent grass greens germinate in four days with ten inches of roots in only six weeks.

• During an unfortunate drought due to a large irrigation break in August, we noticed our turfgrass showed very little sign of increased stress. This could have been a result of supersaturated water being applied to our greens profile for months previous. The greens did not have a drop of water for a period of seven days and remained in fine playing condition during this time.

• Our irrigation ponds where Seair’s technology was injected showed very little blooms of algae even throughout the warmest temperatures during our season.

» Northern Bear Golf Club
• After the introduction of the Seair system, we noticed a great improvement in the clarity of the water and a major reduction in the sulfur odor. The Seair system has also proven beneficial in controlling our pH levels, reducing our TDS and bicarbonates.
