The average golf course can save over $1,000,000 over the life of the machine. Not to mention the overall quality of turf is excellent. All of your facility’s water will be clean and odorless.
The chart above are things that have measurable budgets. But there are many things that the use of ozone will do that can’t be measured with a tangible dollar amount. Like the large amount of time saved by management not dealing with water issues. Another thing that is seen is a large amount of play increase by many courses after the use of our system.
Lake Treatments
All of the issues that our system will solve under the lake treatment area revole around the elimination of bacteria, fungus, viruses, and spores in water. According to the EPA ozone will eliminate bacteria, fungus, virures, and spores.
Calcium & Acid Injection
These are savings seen by all of our customers. When a ozone molecules breaks loose pure oxygen remains, tripling the dissolved oxygen in your water and in your soil. This does two things:
- Ozone will eliminate the bicarbonates in your water. So those bicarbonates won’t be there
to suppress positively charged ions (i.e. calcium) in the soil. - When the turf is irrigated with highly oxygenated water it releases positively charged ions
(i.e. calcium) in the soil. This will lower your soils Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and create the
following effects:- Increase percolation
- Eliminate standing water
- Allow salts to leech through
- Increase root depth
- Eliminate any sodium crust
Essentially we are intensely aerating your turf using your irrigation water.
Water Savings
These are savings that are seen by our customers. The use of our systems has a natural wetting agent affect, according to an article in Golf Course Management in June 2008 the regular use of wetting agents will save 15% water usage.
Fertilizer
Our system increases the dissolved oxygen going into the water soil. Better root growth is promoted and less fertilizer is needed. Here is what Mohyuddin Mirza, Ph.D., P.Ag. Greenhouse Industry Development Specialist has to say:
“Thus increasing the dissolved oxygen levels in water especially at higher temperature e.g. 70F,
should be beneficial to root zone. Following advantages may be expected:
- Better root health, which will promote better absorption of nutrients
- Reduced incidence of diseases like Pythium damping off , which is a low oxygen disease.
- Better plant quality”
Sulfur Burning
Sulfur burners neutralize bicarbonates that tie up salts in the soil, our system does the same thing. A sulfur burner requires sulfur tobe bought, stored, and handel. Are systems requires no addatives. Plus our system does all the features listed above.
